- Choose and give the answer two security questions from the drop-down menus and Click Next.
- Check mark the radio button for the 2.4 GHz/ 5 GHz WiFi network (SSID) and click Next.
- Next it will ask to Enter the password for your current network, type the password & then click NEXT.
- Select the SSID and passwords for your extender , again Click Next.
- Whatever device On which you are planning to connect with extender network, go to WiFi settings and connect with the new extender network.
- Return to the web browser, check the box at the bottom of the page and press the continue button.

- Power on your Netgear extender and open any web browser of your choice.
- Go to the address bar and type “192.168.1.250” and then press the enter button.
- Now type your login credentials in the boxes and click on “login”.
- Then, click on “Do more” and then click on the “Fastlane” option.
- Two option will now be visible on your screen : “Device-to-extender in 2.4 GHz only and extender-to-router in 5 GHz only” and “Device-to-extender in 5GHz only and extender-to-router in 2.4 GHz”.
